LPG gas has become more expensive in India

MUMBAI: India has once again increased the price of LPG gas cylinders for domestic use, which is the second increase since the start of the Iran war.

According to a foreign news agency, the Indian government has increased the price of a 14.2-kg domestic gas cylinder by Rs 29, after which all state oil refineries have implemented new prices. According to officials, this increase has been made to reduce the losses of state-owned oil marketing companies, as they are facing financial pressure due to selling gas at subsidized or low prices.

The report says that after the Iran war, instability has arisen in global energy markets, which is now also having an impact on domestic energy prices.

According to experts, if the situation in the region worsens further, the possibility of a further increase in energy prices cannot be ruled out.
