Major reshuffle in Bangladesh army following Hasina resignation, Maj Gen Zia sacked

DHAKA: Bangladesh Army has made changes to some of its top-level positions after Sheikh Hasina resignation, here on Tuesday.

As per the details, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) provided the information in a press release on Tuesday.

Among the changes, Major General Ziaul Ahsan has been relieved from service.

Besides, Lieutenant General Md Saiful Alam has been assigned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lieutenant General Md Mojibur Rahman has been appointed GOC Army Training and Doctrine Command.

Lieutenant General Ahmad Tabrez Shams Chowdhury has been appointed as Quartermaster General of the Army.

Lieutenant General Mizanur Shamim has been appointed as the Chief of General Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque as Commandant NDC and Major General ASM Ridwanur Rahman as Director General of National Telecommunication Monitoring Centre (NTMC).
