TEL AVIV: Massive protests were held in Tel Aviv and other major cities of the country against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, with protesters demanding the government’s immediate resignation and a high-level investigation into the events of October 7.

A strong expression of public anger was seen in the Israeli capital Tel Aviv and other major cities, where thousands of people took to the streets to protest against Benjamin Netanyahu’s government.

According to Israeli media reports, the center of the protest was Tel Aviv’s Habima Square, where thousands of people gathered in the presence of a heavy police presence and chanted slogans in favor of the government’s dismissal.

The main demand of the protesters was that the Netanyahu government should resign immediately and that a formal government investigation commission be formed regarding the attacks on October 7, 2023, to determine the security failures that led to this major tragedy.

The protesters also strongly criticized the government’s efforts to return prisoners held in Gaza and called for the protection of the independence of the judiciary.
