TEL AVIV: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has revealed that he was diagnosed with early-stage prostate cancer, but his treatment has been completed, and he is completely healthy.

In December 2024, the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office informed that Netanyahu had undergone surgery due to an enlarged prostate.

However, Netanyahu has now confirmed that subsequent reports revealed a cancerous tumor that was less than one centimeter in size.

The Israeli Prime Minister said in a video message on social media that “he is thankfully healthy. I had a minor medical problem related to the prostate that has been completely treated. This matter is now a part of the past.”

According to media reports, the disease was diagnosed several months ago, but Netanyahu began radiation treatment about 10 weeks ago.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu explained the 2-month delay in announcing his annual medical report, saying that this step was taken to avoid a false propaganda campaign against Israel in the context of tensions with Iran.

The doctors’ letters released by the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office said the cancer was very small and had not spread to any other part of the body.

The Israeli government’s medical team has confirmed that Netanyahu is now completely cancer-free and that the cancer has completely disappeared.

Israeli media say that Netanyahu has been given a certificate of recovery after a successful operation.
