ISLAMABAD: An important policy has been issued for the delivery of Zamzam water and luggage for Pakistani pilgrims returning home after performing Hajj.
In a statement issued by the airlines, the pilgrims have been informed about the rules and regulations for carrying luggage and Zamzam water so that they do not face any problems on their return journey.
According to the statement, all pilgrims will not be allowed to carry Zamzam water with their personal luggage, Pakistani pilgrims will be provided with 5 liters of Zamzam water at the airport upon their return home. The aim of this measure is to ensure better monitoring and convenience of luggage during the journey.
Under the policy, passengers traveling through Saudi Airlines will be provided with a bottle of Zamzam water at the airport in Saudi Arabia, while pilgrims traveling through other Pakistani airlines will receive Zamzam water upon reaching home.
Clear instructions have also been issued regarding the weight of luggage. Pilgrims traveling through government and private Pakistani airlines will be allowed to bring up to 40 kilograms of luggage, while passengers of Saudi airlines will be allowed to carry 46 kilograms of luggage.
The announcement further stated that hand luggage of up to 7 kilograms will remain permitted in both Pakistani and Saudi airlines.

The authorities involved in Hajj arrangements have directed the pilgrims to follow all the rules related to the prescribed weight and luggage during departure and return so that the travel stages can be completed easily, in a disciplined and orderly manner.
