RIYADH: Riyadh Metro has announced its ticket prices, with fares starting at four Saudi riyals (SR), the Saudi Gazette reports.
First-class options are also available for those seeking a more premium travel experience.
Tickets can be purchased through the Darb app and are designed to suit a variety of travel needs. They allow unlimited travel on both the metro and bus networks.
The pricing is divided into two classes:
Passengers can select their destinations and purchase tickets through the Darb app, which is available for download in mobile app stores.
Inaugurated by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman on November 27, the Riyadh Metro will begin official operations on December 1 (tomorrow).
The metro network spans 176 kilometers across six lines, with 85 stations, including four major hubs: King Abdullah Financial District, STC, Qasr Al-Hakam, and Western Station.
It is integrated with the Riyadh Bus Project.
The metro lines will be launched in phases, starting with the Blue Line (1), Yellow Line (4), and Purple Line (6) on December 1, followed by the Red Line (2) and Green Line (5) on December 15. The final line, the Orange Line (3), is set to begin operations on January 5, 2025.
