QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti has launched the Pink Scooter Scheme, which aims to empower female students in the province.
As per the details, under this initiative, 50 pink scooters were distributed among the students at the Government Girls Postgraduate Degree College.
During the ceremony, the Chief Minister Bugti announced that the scheme will provide pink scooters to every meritorious and position-seeking student in Balochistan. The initiative also extends to female teachers, students and working women, this being the first time such a program has been introduced in the province.
The Chief Minister stressed the importance of women empowerment and said that when women in Balochistan are educated and active in society, the entire community benefits. He highlighted the success of female deputy commissioners in the province as an example of the growing influence of women in leadership roles.
The ceremony concluded with a lucky draw, where 48 students immediately received their scooters, while the remaining two will receive them next week.
