Saudi govt announces Umrah schedule for year 2025-26

RIYADH: The Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced the schedule for the upcoming Umrah season in Islamic Year 1447 Hijri.

The Ministry also announces the key dates and procedures for international pilgrims planning to perform Umrah in the Islamic year.

The pilgrims from foreign countries will be allowed to begin Umrah on June 11, 2025.  Visa issuing will begin one day early, on June 10, 2025 (14 Dhul Hijjah 1446), and all contracts between Umrah service providers and abroad agents must be completed by May 27, 2025 (29 Dhul Qadah 1446).

The official signing of service contracts started on April 14 during the 2025 Hajj and Umrah Services Forum, which brought together international stakeholders to coordinate and plan for the season ahead.

The government also mentioned numerous crucial deadlines. The deadline for issuing Umrah visas is March 20, 2026 (1 Shawwal 1447). Pilgrims must arrive in Saudi Arabia by April 3, 2026 (15 Shawwal 1447), while all international pilgrims must depart by April 18, 2026 (1 Dhul Qadah 1447).

Furthermore, January 20, 2026 (1 Sha’ban 1447) has been designated as the deadline for overseas agents to complete their qualifying procedure and execute agreements with Saudi umrah operators.
