Shawwal moon sighted in Pakistan, Eid ul Fitr to be celebrated tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: The Shawwal moon has been sighted across the country. Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Monday, March 31.

The meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee to see the moon of Shawwal 1446 Hijri in Pakistan was chaired by Chairman Committee Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad.

In which scholars, Suparco and experts from the Meteorological Department participated. Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, while talking after the moon sighting, said that the weather was cloudy in some places. However, testimonies have been received from Lahore, Islamabad, Sheikhupura and Kasur.

Earlier, experts said that the Shawwal moon was born at 3:59 pm yesterday. And today its age will be more than 25 hours by Maghrib time. Due to which it can be easily seen with the human eye. The Research Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Council said that there are national possibilities of seeing the moon.
