ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) announced its plan for Islamabad’s food and recreational infrastructure, which includes renaming the Melody Food Street as well as building an additional food hub in the Blue Area.
The announcement was made in a high-level meeting attended by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, senior CDA board members, and senior CDA officials held at the CDA Headquarters.
The agenda focused on urban service areas and food quality standards. Randhawa directed CDA officials to enhance the lighting and parking of the Melody Food Colony (Food Street) and to enhance their food safety inspections with the Islamabad Food Authority.
“Melody Food Street is an iconic point, and we wanted our citizens to have quality food in an organized space”, said Randhawa. Randhawa announced that CDA intends to develop a new food street in the Blue Area that will include landscape decorations, ambient lighting, and enough parking for large crowds.
