Indian drone crashes in Rawalpindi food street near cricket stadium

RAWALPINDI: In a latest attempt, an indian drone has hit a shop in Rawalpindi Food Street near the cricket Stadium, where the Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches are being held. This is one of 12 drones reported.

Earlier, Director General Inter Services Public Relations Lt Gen Ahmed Shairf said that at least 12 Indian drones were shot down in Lahore, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, Karachi, Chakwal, Attock, Rawalpindi, Chhor, and Mianwali.

Drones were also disabled in Rawalpindi and Attock, said the DG ISPR.

As per initial details, one civilian was injured and was shifted to the hospital. The alleged drone crashed after hitting a tree. The drone crash damaged the shop’s windows.

A heavy contingent of police has reached the site and cordoned off the scene. Law enforcement agencies have seized he wreckage of the drone and launched an investigation.

In late-night drone-related incidents, several Pakistan Army personnel were injured in Lahore, and one civilian was martyred and another injured in Sindh province.

Heavy damage was caused to the enemy on the Line of Control, DG ISPR said.
