PSL remaining matches shifted to Karachi: PCB

Marnus Labuschagne to lead Hyderabad Kingsmen in PSL 11

RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to shift the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League to Karachi amid the prevailing situation in Lahore and Rawalpindi, according to media sources.

The decision was made on Thursday in a high-level meeting at the PCB head office in Lahore, according to media reports.

Earlier, amid a drone attack in Rawalpindi, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) match between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings was cancelled.

The drone targeted Rawalpindi Food Street, just meters away from Rawalpindi Stadium, where matches were scheduled to take place.

Security fears have increased following the downing of an Indian drone near the stadium, which has sparked concerns about the safety of players, officials, and fans, especially given the heightened tensions along the border and other drone incursions recorded across Pakistan in recent days.

The qualifying matches were set to be played in Lahore, which have now shifted to Karachi.
