MUSCAT: The Omani government has announced two public holidays this week.

The holidays are being given in conjunction with the National Day, during which all government and private institutions will remain closed.

According to the Omani News Agency (ONA), Wednesday, November 26 and 27 will be public holidays on the occasion of the National Day, while normal work will resume from Sunday, November 30.

For the first time, Oman will celebrate the National Day for two days in 2025, a change made under the royal decree of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq.

Previously, the National Day was celebrated on November 18, however, the implementation of the new dates will give citizens and residents more time to fully participate in national celebrations, celebrate the country’s history, culture and unity, and be proud of its development achievements.
