UK raises wages, cuts energy bills amid Iran crisis

LONODN: In order to combat rising inflation worldwide due to the war imposed on Iran, a program to increase the salaries of citizens in the UK, reduce energy bills and help the deserving people has been implemented from today.

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer said that he is trying to open the Strait of Hormuz because this can reduce the price of things. The British Prime Minister met with officials from energy, insurance and shipping companies, after which he held a Cobra meeting to review the situation.

The British government announced that the National Living Wage is being raised to 12.71 pounds, thus 2.4 million employees will get an additional 900 pounds, while the minimum wage is being raised to 10.85, thus 200,000 young employees will get an additional 1,500 pounds.

Energy bills are being reduced by an average of 117 pounds annually, which will be applied until June, medicine prices have been frozen. Prime Minister Starmer said that people are worried about the Iran war, but they are trying to reduce prices.
