UK to raise minimum wage for millions from April

LONDON: The British government has decided to increase the minimum wage, which will be implemented from April next year.

According to British media, the salary of workers over the age of 21 will increase by 4.1% to 12.71 pounds per hour, while the salary of workers aged 18 to 20 will increase by 8.5% to 10.85 pounds per hour.

Similarly, the government has decided to increase the salary of 16 and 17-year-olds by 6% to 8 pounds per hour.

The British Chancellor said in this regard, ‘I know that daily expenses are the biggest problem for working people, he said that many people are still finding it difficult to make ends meet, which is why this change is necessary.’

British officials said that millions of workers will benefit from this decision.
