ISLAMABAD (Rizwan Abbasi): The COP16 conference, organized under the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), will be held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, from December 2 to 13, 2024.
Representatives from 197 countries will gather to devise a historic strategy to address the pressing global issue of drought. This conference aims to be a milestone in tackling the challenges posed by climate change and achieving sustainable development goals on a global scale.
During the UNCCD’s COP16 conference, experts will present recommendations focusing on the effective utilization of political, financial, and human resources to combat drought.
