UNGA President defends “landmark” migration compact

UNITED NATIONS(daily ausaf)UN General Assembly President Maria Espinosa on Wednesday defended the the United Nations global migration compact as a tool that would ensure all migrants everywhere have their rights safeguarded, as she responded to reports that some countries were backing out of the accord.
