Xi Jinping to Trump: Diplomacy and dialogue only solution to global crises

BEIJING: Chinese President Xi Jinping, while meeting with US President Donald Trump, said that the solution to all global crises lies only in diplomacy and negotiations. Despite differences, the two countries must follow the principles of mutual respect and peaceful coexistence.

In Beijing, US President Donald Trump arrived at a reception outside the Great Hall of the People on the occasion of his visit to China, where he was welcomed by the Chinese President.

On this occasion, US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping shook hands.

The Chinese President welcomed the US President and introduced him to the cabinet, after which the Chinese and US presidents went inside the Great Hall of the People building.

Chinese President Xi Jinping said during the meeting with the delegations of the Chinese and US presidents that the US delegation is welcome to China, the solution to all global crises can only be through diplomacy and negotiations, China and the US are two great powers, global stability is our common goal.

Chinese President Xi Jinping said that maintaining world peace and economic development is the historic responsibility of both countries, the eyes of the whole world are currently on the talks in Beijing, despite differences, the two countries must follow the principles of mutual respect and peaceful coexistence.

The Chinese President told Trump that the world is currently going through serious challenges in the Iran conflict and the global supply chain.

Chinese President Xi Jinping said that at present, the world is undergoing rapid changes that have not been seen in a century. The international situation is constantly changing and turbulent. Can we jointly confront global challenges and provide stability to the world? Can we build a bright future for our world and our people? These are the questions that we, as leaders of major countries, have to answer.

The Chinese President said that I believe that the two countries have more common interests than differences. The stable bilateral relations between the two countries are beneficial to the whole world. Both China and the United States can benefit from cooperation and lose from conflict. We should not be competitors but partners.

Xi Jinping said that we should help each other succeed and prosper. The two countries should find the right path to walk together.

The Chinese president further said that the Taiwan issue is the most important in China-US relations. If the Taiwan issue is not handled properly, the US and China could face tension.
