BYD reveals official date for launch of Shark 6 PHEV

ISLAMABAD: In good news for car lovers in Pakistan, BYD is all set to reveal its Shark 6 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV)  in automobile markets on July 25.

“Mark your calendars for July 25, 2025. If you’re Hungry for Adventure, this one’s for you,” BYD announces in a social media post, making it the country’s first plug-in hybrid entry in the pickup truck segment.
Toyota Hilux Revo, ISUZU D-Max, and JAC T9 Hunter are already in the market, which will make it tough for the company to compete in the market. The vehicle, which was previously showcased at the Pakistan Auto Show in 2024.

With an aerodynamic, sculpted front and LED lighting on both ends, the Shark’s grille is modeled after a shark. The vehicle has Continental tires and 18-inch wheels. Roof rails, a shark-fin antenna, and a design language influenced by the Ford Raptor are extra features.

The Shark offers a black and orange theme with supportive seating and a fully digital dashboard.

  • Lane-keeping assistance,

  •  1.5L four-cylinder petrol engine paired with dual electric motors
  • output of 321 kW.
  •  58 kWh battery
