ISLAMABAD: The Excise and Taxation Department in Islamabad has made registering cars a whole lot easier and hassle-free. With their new system, you can now skip the hassle of personally visiting the excise office by nominating someone to register your vehicle on your behalf.

Process of Car Registration

All you need to do is issue an authority letter or undergo biometric verification.

This nominated person will need to go through biometric verification when collecting the registration card, but that’s a small price to pay for the convenience.

Plus, this new system helps people avoid dealing with agent mafias, and you can even authorize a family member or friend to handle the registration process for you.

But that’s not all, the Islamabad excise department has also introduced doorstep services, allowing you to register or transfer your vehicle from the comfort of your own home or office. Talk about convenience!

Additionally, you can even use their online services to register your vehicle. Just grab a challan for government fees from the online channel, and you’re good to go.
