LAHORE: The Punjab government is preparing to introduce a new electric bike scheme for teachers across the province.
The aim is to provide travel facilities to teachers and reduce their daily expenses.
According to provincial officials, under this proposed scheme, teachers will be able to get electric bikes by paying only the initial installment.
A proposal to adjust the remaining payments in easy installments at the level of educational institutions is under consideration. So that the financial burden on teachers is minimized.
On the other hand, at the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, a special relief package for female teachers is also being considered.
Under this, a proposal is being made to provide free scooters to female teachers serving in the government sector.
In this regard, Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has said that the government is giving top priority to the welfare of teachers.
While providing travel facilities to female teachers is an important step to facilitate their professional responsibilities.
According to officials, this proposed facility will benefit female teachers who are serving in government educational institutions.
The final approval of the scheme and details regarding the procedure are likely to be released soon.
The Punjab government says that such welfare schemes for teachers will not only help improve the quality of education but will also play an important role in solving the problems of teachers.
