KARACHI: The Sindh Education Department has announced the schedule for winter vacations across the province.
The decision was finalized at a meeting of the department’s steering committee, which approved the annual break for both public and private educational institutions.
Sindh’s educational institutions will go on winter holidays from December 22 to December 31 this year, he said. It will reopen on January 1, and classes will resume accordingly in routine.
The spokesperson further said that additional tests set up by examination boards will proceed uninterrupted over the holiday period, ensuring that timelines for the exams are not affected.
It explained that the winter break is to provide a seasonal break for students and teachers while ensuring that academic calendars remain on schedule.
