Suzuki Cultus & Bolan lifetime token tax after budget 2024 approval

LAHORE: The Punjab government has increased the token tax on vehicles including Suzuki Cultus and Bolan from July 1, 2024, here on Tuesday.

As per the details, the Punjab Assembly last month approved the budget for the upcoming financial year 2024-25, which recommended a change in the policy for determining token tax on vehicles.

Under the newly implemented policy, cars with an engine capacity of 1000cc Lifetime token tax has been increased. 5,000 while token tax on vehicles with engine capacity above 1000cc will be assessed on the basis of their invoice value as previously determined on the basis of engine capacity.

Token tax is collected by Excise and Taxation Department in Punjab.

The Suzuki Cults has a 998cc engine while the Suzuki Bolan has an engine size of 796cc. Both the vehicles are subject to one-time lifetime token tax and in this article we have collected the details about it.

New Lifetime Token Tax for Suzuki Cults, Suzuki Bolan

Since both the vehicles have an engine capacity of less than 1000cc, the owners of these vehicles will pay a one-time lifetime token tax on the new unit while purchasing it.

In Budget 2024-25, the lifetime token tax rate has been increased by Rs.5000. Hence, lifetime token tax for Suzuki Cults and Suzuki Bolan will be Rs20,000, with effect from July 1, 2024.

The exterior of the Suzuki Bolan has quite a boxy design. The flat front fascia features square headlights with a rectangular-style black grille, integrated into the black bumper. Suzuki Bolan is priced at Rs 1,940,000.
