QUETTA: The manager of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) was shot and killed on Manu Jan Road in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan, here on Tuesday.
As per the details, the deceased was identified as Munir Ahmed Lehari, he was going in his car when unknown persons opened fire on him.
SSGC office pronounced dead on the spot and his body has been shifted to a nearby hospital for further medico-legal proceedings.
Police have also reached the scene to collect evidence in what appears to be a target killing incident.
Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) is Pakistan’s largest integrated public limited large-scale natural gas supplier.
The Government of Pakistan directly and indirectly owns majority of the shareholdings of the company. Since 1954, SSGC has been engaged in the business of transmission and distribution of natural gas besides installation of high pressure transmission and low pressure distribution systems in the franchise provinces of Sindh and Balochistan.
