Cement prices see slight decline across Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The retail prices of cement in the country witnessed a slight decline during the past week.

According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the average retail price of cement per sack in the northern cities of the country was recorded at Rs 1,364 in the week ending October 30, which is 0.35 percent lower than the previous week.

In the previous week, the average retail price of cement per sack in the northern cities of the country was recorded at Rs 1,369.

During the period under review, the average retail price of cement per sack in the southern cities of the country was recorded at Rs 1,441, which was also Rs 1,441 in the previous week.

According to the statistics, in the week ending October 30, the average retail price of cement per sack was recorded at Rs 1345 in Islamabad, Rs 1346 in Rawalpindi, Rs 1400 in Gujranwala, Rs 1350 in Sialkot, Rs 1406 in Lahore, Rs 1380 in Faisalabad, Rs 1360 in Sargodha, Rs 1378 in Multan, Rs 1407 in Bahawalpur, Rs 1334 in Peshawar and Rs 1300 in Bannu.

The average retail price of cement per sack was recorded at Rs 1369 in Karachi, Rs 1427 in Hyderabad, Rs 1500 in Sukkur, Rs 1407 in Larkana, Rs 1500 in Quetta, and Rs 1443 in Khuzdar.
