KARACHI: Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced the closure of all CNG stations in Sindh and Balochistan for an indefinite period.
According to the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), this decision has been taken to ensure uninterrupted supply of gas to domestic consumers, due to which gas supply to the CNG sector will remain suspended.
The SSGC says that gas is being supplied to domestic and commercial consumers during Sehr and Iftar times, however, under gas load management, gas supply is being stopped in the city from 8 am to 3 pm.
According to officials, to meet the current demand-supply gap, priority is being given to domestic consumers over industrial and commercial needs.
