Dollar 47 paisa cheaper, PSX continues to make history

The dollar eased on the first day of the business week, the rupee improved further, while the stock exchange set a new record.

The dollar fell by 47 paisa to RS 284.50 per dollar in interbank trading on Monday.

The dollar closed at 284 rupees 97 paisa in the interbank market on the last day of the ugly business week.

The stock market saw a great boom at the start of business, the 100 index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange increased by 749 points.

After which the index reached 62 thousand 440 points for the first time in the country’s history.

The index closed at 61,691 at the end of the last business week.
