Easypaisa customers can now receive remittances from 100+ Countries

ISLAMABAD: Easypaisa customers will now be able to make cross-border payments in over 100 currencies and receive remittances from over 100 countries directly into their accounts.

EasyPaisa Digital Bank organized a dinner in honor of stakeholders at a local hotel to mark the first anniversary of its digital banking operations.

The dinner was attended by federal ministers, policymakers, regulators, business leaders and media representatives.

The event was hosted by Board Chairman Irfan Wahab Khan, President of Ant International Douglas Fagan and President and CEO of EasyPaisa Digital Bank Jahanzeb Khan.

Speaking at the event, the chief guest, Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja, congratulated EasyPaisa on completing one year as a digital bank.

She said that, as per the Prime Minister’s instructions, the promotion of the digital economy is the top priority of the government and coordinated and concrete steps are being taken for this purpose.

Addressing the ceremony, Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani said that the involvement of digital finance experts is essential for effective policy making, bringing the real and practical benefits of the cashless economy to the public is the need of the hour.

Easypaisa Digital Bank informed that more than 3.8 billion transactions were made through the Easypaisa platform during the year 2025, the total value of which exceeded Rs. 1.5 trillion.

On this occasion, the launch of Easypaisa’s partnership with Ant International’s World First Platform was also officially announced.

According to the announcement, under this partnership, Easypaisa users will now be able to make cross-border payments in more than 100 currencies and receive remittances from more than 100 countries directly into their Easypaisa accounts.

This initiative will enable access beyond traditional shipping corridors such as the Gulf countries, the UK and the US, while providing fast, secure and convenient financial access to freelancers, exporters and overseas Pakistanis.
