Flour prices surge across Pakistan after new wheat crop arrival

ISLAMABAD: The price of flour increased after the arrival of the new wheat crop.

The consignment of flour made from the new wheat crop by the flour mills started reaching the market, after which the price of flour was increased by the flour mills and shopkeepers, the price of wheat flour from Rs 3500 per maund has exceeded Rs 4300 per maund.
In the open market, a 10 kg bag of flour started selling for Rs 1080, while a 15 kg bag of flour is being sold for Rs 1600.

A 20 kg bag of flour is being sold for Rs 2130 in the open market. In the last one week, a 20 kg bag of flour has become expensive by Rs 290 in different cities of the country.

According to the document, a 20 kg bag of flour has reached Rs 2600 in Shahr-e-Quaid, before that the price of a 20 kg bag of flour in Karachi was up to Rs 2500.

According to the document, in the last week, a 20-kilogram bag of flour has become more expensive by Rs 290 in Lahore, Rs 150 in Peshawar and Rs 140 in Khuzdar. In Islamabad, the price of a 20-kilogram bag of flour has increased by Rs 93, in Rawalpindi by Rs 80 and in Bannu, the price of a 20-kilogram bag of flour has increased by Rs 50, in Quetta by Rs 30 and in Multan by Rs 27.
