Gas prices likely to rise by 200%

Bad news for the inflation-ridden public, gas prices are likely to increase by another 200% on IMF terms.

Gas prices have already increased by 173% on the condition of the IMF, further increase in gas prices is being planned in 2024 as well.

Sources say that there is a possibility of more than 200% increase in the price of gas from January 1, due to which consumers will have to bear an additional burden of 458 billion rupees.

Apart from this, there is also a possibility of revision of rebasing of tariff in electricity rates and increase in monthly cost of production basis from January to June.
