KARACHI: The price of gold rose significantly in the domestic market of Pakistan on Saturday due to the increase in international prices.
According to the data shared by All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of gold rose by Rs 2,500 to Rs 260,200 per tola.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold closed at Rs 223080 with an increase of Rs 2144.
The price of the precious commodity in the international market settled at $2,507 per ounce with an increase of $46.
Meanwhile, the price of silver in Pakistan also increased by Rs 50 to Rs 2950, while the price of 10 grams of silver closed at Rs 2529.14 after an increase of Rs 42.86.
A day earlier, Pakistan’s local market on Friday recorded a marginal improvement in gold prices, with Tola gold settling at Rs 257,700, up by Rs 300.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold in the local market increased by Rs 256 to Rs 220,936.
