KARACHI: Gold and silver prices increased once again in both international and local markets.
In the global market, the price of gold rose by $43.70 per ounce, reaching $4,219 per ounce.
In Pakistan’s local bullion market, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs4,370, taking the new rate to Rs444,336 per tola. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs3,933, reaching Rs379,880.
Silver also became more expensive, with the price of per tola silver increasing by Rs200 to Rs7,279.
A day earlier, gold prices had also seen a sharp increase, with 24-carat gold per tola rising by Rs7,250 to Rs439,966, while 10 grams of gold increased by Rs6,525 to Rs375,947.
Market experts say the continuous rise in global gold prices is directly affecting local bullion rates, putting pressure on buyers.
