KARACHI: A significant drop in gold prices has been recorded in the global and local gold market.
According to the latest data, the price of 24-carat gold per tola in Pakistan has dropped by Rs 14,900, after which the price of gold per tola has come down from Rs 452,936 to Rs 438,036. This significant drop in prices is being described as the biggest drop in recent times.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold also dropped by Rs 14,510, after which its new price has been fixed at Rs 374,205.
Along with gold, a significant drop was also seen in the price of silver, after which silver per tola became cheaper by Rs 413, it reached the level of Rs 6,946.
There was also a major fluctuation in gold prices in the international market. In the global market, gold fell by $149 per ounce to $4,156, which clearly affected the local market.
Economic experts say that global economic conditions, investor trends, and changes in international financial markets are affecting gold prices. If this trend continues globally, further price fluctuations may be seen in the coming days.
