KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan reached a historic high on Tuesday, reflecting a rise in international rates.
The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported that the price of gold per tola increased by Rs700, hitting Rs260,700, while the 10-gram price rose by Rs600 to Rs223,508.
Internationally, gold prices also climbed, with the per-ounce price rising by $19 to $2,374.
Silver prices, however, remained steady at Rs2,950 per tola. On Monday, gold was priced at Rs260,000, having dropped by Rs200.
