ISLAMABAD: The price of gold in Pakistan and world over has witnessed the biggest drop in history, due to the ongoing US-China tariff war, here on Wednesday.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola decreased by Rs 11,700 to Rs 352,000. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs 10,031, taking it to Rs 301,783.
Significant changes were also seen in the global gold market, with the price of gold per ounce decreasing by $ 116 to $ 3,338.
Meanwhile, a rising trend was seen in silver prices, with the price of 24-karat silver per tola increasing by Rs 16 to Rs 3,457 and the price of 10 grams of silver increasing by Rs 13 to Rs 2,963. The global price of silver increased by $ 0.16 to $ 32.93.
