KARACHI: The price of gold has increased once again by Rs 2300.

There was no decrease in the price of gold yesterday, but today the price has increased once again.

With an increase of Rs 2300 in the price of gold per tola, the new price has become Rs 428,862.

10 grams of gold have become expensive by Rs 1972, after which the new price is Rs 367,680.

With an increase of $ 23 in the price of gold in the global market, gold has become $ 4065 per ounce.

Earlier, the federal government lifted the ban on the import and export of gold.

After the approval of the federal cabinet, the Ministry of Commerce has issued a notification to lift the ban on the import and export of gold.

According to the notification, the suspended SRO related to the global trade of gold has been restored.

The notification states that the federal government has also made some amendments related to the import and export of precious metals and jewelry.

While the framework for the import and export of precious metals and jewelry will remain intact, the framework will continue with improvements in transparency and automation.

A ban on the export and import of gold was imposed in May this year, and the Ministry of Commerce suspended the SRO regulating the gold trade for 60 days on May 6, 2025.

Sources say that the ban on export and import was imposed on a complaint of gold smuggling
