ISLAMABAD: Gold continued its winning streak to reach another high in the local market on Thursday, in line with rising global prices.
According to data shared by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of gold per tola rose by Rs 1,900 to a fresh high of Rs 442,800.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams rose by Rs 1,629 to reach a historic high of Rs 279,629.
The precious commodity also recorded significant gains in the international market where it reached a high of $ 4,217 after rising by $ 19 per ounce during the ongoing trade war between the US and China.
A day earlier, the price of gold per tola rose by Rs 5,800 to reach a high of Rs 40,900.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs 4,972 to Rs 378,000 from Rs 373,028 the previous day, while the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold increased by Rs 4,558 to Rs 346,512.
