ISLAMABAD: Gold prices in Pakistan rose significantly on Thursday, reflecting the increase in international rates. The price of gold per tola in the local market reached Rs282,800 after an increase of Rs2,300.
According to the rates provided by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), 10 grams of gold was sold for Rs242,455, an increase of Rs1,971.
On Wednesday, the price of gold per tola in Pakistan had already increased by Rs3,100.
The international rate of gold also increased on Thursday, with the APGJSA quoting the price at $2,716 per ounce (with a premium of $20), reflecting an increase of $23 during the day. Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola remained stable at Rs3,450.
