ISLAMABAD: The gold market in Pakistan heated up on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, as global prices surged, pushing up tola prices.
Data shared by the Sarafa Association showed that gold prices in the local market increased by Rs6,600, reaching Rs356,800. The price of 10 grams of gold also increased by Rs5,658 to Rs305,898.
The sharp increase followed a modest increase on Monday, when the price of gold per tola increased by Rs800 to close at Rs350,200.
In the global market, gold prices saw a significant increase of $66, with the international price reaching $3,348 per ounce, including a $20 premium, according to the APGJSA report. Silver prices followed suit, with the price per tola increasing by Rs52 to Rs3,834.
The continued rise in gold prices is being attributed to ongoing global economic uncertainty and increasing demand for safe-haven assets.
