KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan have reached another high as the price of the yellow metal continues to rise amid the ongoing trade war between leading international economies.

According to data shared by the All Pakistan Gem and Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola has increased by Rs1,300 to reach a historic high of Rs315,600.

Similarly, bullion prices in the international market also recorded an upward trend as the price of an ounce of 24-karat gold increased by $13 to settle at $3,010.

A day earlier, the price of 24-karat gold per tola had increased by Rs1,100, setting a new record of Rs314,800 per tola. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs943 to reach Rs269,890.

Meanwhile, despite the increase in gold prices, silver prices remained stable. Silver prices remained stable at Rs 3,530 per tola while 10 grams remained at Rs 3,026.

With gold prices continuing their upward momentum, market analysts have predicted continued volatility in the bullion sector, influenced by global economic conditions and investor sentiment.
