ISLAMABAD: The government of Pakistan has decided to pay salaries and pensions in advance to government employees and pensioners in connection with Eid-ul-Adha.
The Ministry of Finance has issued a notification for the early payment of salaries and pensions for May 2026, under which payments will be made to government employees and pensioners on May 22 in view of Eid-ul-Adha.
According to the Ministry of Finance, Eid-ul-Adha is expected to be on May 27 or 28, 2026, payments will be made under the Federal Government’s Receipts and Payment Rules 2025.
Instructions have been issued to the Controller General of Accounts for the early payment of salaries and pensions.
