Govt announces massive increase in petrol prices from 16 July; Check new rates here

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced a massive increase in petrol and diesel prices, here on Monday.

According to the notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs 9.99 per litre.

While high speed diesel has been increased by Rs6.18 per litre.

The price of petrol per litre has been increased by 9. 99, the new price of petrol has become 275. 60.

The price of diesel per litre has been increased by 6. 18. The new price of diesel has become 283. 63. The increase in the prices of petroleum products will be applied from 12 pm tonight.

On the other hand, an increase in crude oil prices has been recorded in the global market.

Uncertainty in the Middle East and the United States led to a rise in global crude oil prices. Brent crude rose 15 cents, or 0.2 percent, to $85.18 a barrel on Monday.

U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) futures rose 20 cents, or 0.2 percent, to $82.41 a barrel.
