KARACHI: In a significant step, the government of Sindh has announced to provide free solar to the consumers who use less than 100 units of electricity.
The initiative aims to protect low-income citizens from expensive electricity.
The applicant must not have previously acquired a solar system through another government initiative.
Individuals interested in applying must complete the application form and submit it together with their electricity bill and national identification card. The form must be certified by the Union Council (UC) Chairman or a gazetted officer.
The completed application form must be sent to the Sindh Energy Department, Project of Home Solar System (On-Grid). The deadline for submitting applications is August 20, 2025.
