GAWADAR: The price of Iranian petrol has increased by Rs 30 to 40 per liter in the border and coastal district of Gwadar, bordering Iran in Balochistan.

People associated with the oil business in Gwadar say that this increase is not due to the increase in oil prices by the Pakistani government, but due to the closure of business in the border area of Kantani Hor.

Government officials in Makran Division have also confirmed the closure of Kantani Hor, saying that it has been closed by federal authorities.
Journalist Bahram Baloch from Gwadar says that Iranian oil comes to Gwadar by sea from the Kantani Hor area located in the Jiwani area bordering Iran.

This is also according to Majid Asghar, a person associated with the Iranian oil business in Gwadar. Earlier, Iranian petrol was being sold in Gwadar for Rs 170 to Rs 180 per liter, but after the reports of the closure of Kantani Hor, the price per liter reached Rs 200 to Rs 210.
