ISLAMABAD: The federal government has started considering handing over the Benazir Income Support Program to the provinces.
Federal Minister for Sports Das Kohistani said that after the 18th Amendment, all the powers are with the provinces, so the relief funds should also be paid to the provinces.
He said that some provinces have also raised this voice, however, the government will take any decision only after consulting with allies and political parties.
The federal minister further said that the issue of completely ending the Benazir Income Support Program is not under consideration.
