ISLAMABAD: After the petrol shock, motorcycle buyers are facing another price shock as the prices of bikes are increasing due to rising production costs and high raw material prices.
United Auto Industries said that they have tried to keep motorcycle prices stable for as long as possible despite the rising inflationary pressure. However, the situation is becoming increasingly difficult due to the recent increase in petrol prices and the rising cost of raw materials used in manufacturing.
The company has revised the prices of several motorcycle models. The increase is between Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 5,000, adding to the financial burden on consumers who are already struggling with the rising cost of living. 70cc and 100cc bikes cost more than Rs. 3,000 while 125cc bikes now cost more than Rs. 5,000.
The new prices will be effective from April 11, 2026, and the revised prices will be applicable to all new bookings made on or after that date.
The company said that this decision has been taken after a careful review of the rising cost of production and current market conditions, which have made it difficult to continue offering motorcycles at the previous prices.
