ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has welcomed the statement of his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi regarding Pakistan, saying the clarification reflects a positive approach towards dialogue and peace.

In a post shared on social media, Ishaq Dar said he appreciates the clarification given by Abbas Araghchi about Pakistan. He described him as a “brother” and expressed satisfaction over his remarks.

Earlier, Abbas Araghchi stated that Iran has never refused to visit Islamabad for negotiations. He also thanked Pakistan for its efforts aimed at achieving a ceasefire.

The Iranian foreign minister stressed that Iran supports a comprehensive and lasting end to conflict. He added that some international media outlets, particularly in the United States, are presenting Iran’s position inaccurately.

Abbas Araghchi also referred to global reactions to clashes near a nuclear power plant in Ukraine. He questioned whether the same level of concern is being shown in the current situation.

At the end of his message on social media, Araghchi expressed goodwill towards Pakistan. He wrote “Pakistan Zindabad” and shared a video thanking the country.

The development highlights ongoing diplomatic engagement between Pakistan and Iran, with both sides signaling support for dialogue and peaceful resolution of tensions.
