QUATA: The news of the new petrol price being set at Rs 280 per liter in Hub and Balochistan has gone viral on social media, however, the authorities have not yet officially confirmed this notification, due to which the situation is uncertain.

According to the details, an alleged notification is circulating on social media, claiming that the price of petrol has been set at Rs 280 per liter in the entire Balochistan including Hub.

The notification also states that strict legal action will be taken against those who charge more than the fixed price, which may include fines and other punishments.

As soon as this news came out, there was a wave of concern among the public, because inflation has already increased significantly due to the continuous increase in the prices of petroleum products in the country. Citizens say that if the price of petrol is indeed fixed at Rs 280, it will have a direct impact on daily life, transport fares and prices of essential commodities.

On the other hand, official sources and relevant authorities have refrained from confirming this notification. Officials say that no such official order has been issued yet and the public should not believe unconfirmed news. Any final decision or announcement in this regard will come out only through the relevant government agencies.
