ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has approved an increase in gas prices for the current financial year.
According to a statement issued by OGRA, an 8.71 percent increase in gas prices has been approved for Sui Northern, while the gas price for Sui Southern will increase by 25.78 percent.
OGRA has approved setting the average gas price for Sui Northern at Rs 1,778.35 per MMBTU.
On the other hand, the average gas price for Sui Southern has been set at Rs 1,762.51 per MMBTU.
OGRA says that the decision to increase gas prices has been sent to the federal government, the final decision on the price increase will be taken after consulting the federal government.
