DUBAI: All citizens and residents of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), including Filipino citizens, are not allowed to drive without a valid driving license.
They may face heavy fines or other legal action for driving with or without an expired license. It is mandatory for them to renew their document on time to avoid such consequences.
According to Dubai RTA guidelines, residents aged 21 and above are eligible to apply for or renew a new driving license in Dubai.
Residents under the age of 21 can also apply for a probationary driving license.
The driver license renewal fees for customers younger than 21 years old stands at AED100 in addition to AED20 Knowledge and Innovation fees.
500 AED additional fees will be received when applicant requests the mobile truck service for the eye test and licence renewal.
The driver license renewal fee for customers 21 years and older stands at AED300 in addition to AED20 Knowledge and Innovation fees.
